Choreography of Repetitions I

2019

Paintbrush / Chinese Ink / Paper / CNC Machine

This work looks for repetitive yet expressive patterns emerging from the robotic gesture of a paintbrush on paper. As a confrontation between two tools seemingly opposed, the stable and repetitive motion of the robot, and the delicate yet unpredictable nature of the brush stroke.

Direction: Edouard Cabay, Charlotte Erckrath and Peter Geelmuyden Magnus

Collaborator: the students from the Bergen Architecture School.
